Harrisonburg High School JROTC
Harrisonburg High School JROTC was established in 1989. The mission of the Harrisonburg High school JROTC instructor group is to assist in the total development of the high school student so he/she can take his/her place as a responsible citizen in society.
The Harrisonburg High School JROTC under the direction of the Senior Army Instructor, Colonel Roy McCutcheon and the Army Instructor, Command Sergeant Major Russell Wilder provides an atmosphere designed to develop qualities of leadership. Through classroom and other instructional activities cadets gain self-discipline, patriotism, and a sense of responsibility that will enable them to better serve their country as a leader, a citizen or a member of a service organization.
