Honors World History I

In our class, students will learn about the earliest civilizations of the world, the establishment of early empires, and the basics of many world religions.  We will study Prehistory, Egypt, Mesopotamia, Hebrews, Persia, China, India, Greece, Rome, the Americas, Africa, Islamic Empires, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and the Reformation.  In the Honors class, students will be asked to analyze the content and make connections using skills such as comparing and contrasting, synthesizing, and finding cause and effect relationships between events and cultures.
