There's An App For That!

This year’s bi-weekly In “Stall”ments will have this theme: "There’s An App For That".
This month's featured app Bill Atkinson's PostCard. This is one of the best postcard creating projects! You can take pictures with the camera on device (if using an iPad 2 or iPod Touch), have your students create and save pictures on the device, and/or save pictures from wallpaper apps. Your students can then type in text to describe the picture. This could be a great follow-up to a field trip if you take an iPod Touch with you or as an assessment of student understanding during or after a unit of study. Students could create a postcard to share with a staff member. I am sure you could think of lots of ways to use this app!
Speaking of apps, for all of you who have been checking out QR codes, the code at the bottom of this page links you to the best technology resource for everyone in HCPS! Never heard of a QR code before? Well, ask me to show you how this works!
