Students form mini-companies (Groups of one to four students) of their choosing. They work collaboratively in these groups to complete their required work and assignments. Those requiring more time on an assignment can take additional time as is needed.
Once an assignment has been completed, immediate feedback is provided through the use of http://mygradebook.com and through the "Claroline" Interactive system.
Those who complete their work ahead of schedule can move on to the next assignment, allowing them to stay engaged, or to move along at a faster pace to other topics they wish to learn.
Activities and assignments are provided in various formats:
-WORKLOGS AND WORKSHEETS allow students to learn using traditional writing and research methods.
-NOTEBOOKS allow students to organize work in a logical and defined order.
-COMPUTERS allow students to complete their assignments online using the "Claroline" Interactive "Assignments" and "Learning Paths", as well as many other resources.
-SIMULATIONS allow students to learn in a
protected environment as they learn to carry
out processes such as designing a cell
phone, investigating a crash scene, or
designing their own dream house.
-"HANDS-ON" Learning occurs when the
students have completed their assigned
work, and wish to transition learning from
the "virtual world" to more "real world"
experiences.
