About Mr. Rush
Mr. Rush grew up in Eastern Pennsylvania, about 45 minutes north of Philadelphia. He attended Christopher Dock Mennonite High School. After high school he attended Eastern Mennonite University, majoring in Mathematics and Secondary Education (6-12). He started teaching at Stonewall Jackson High School and taught there for 9 years before moving to Harrisonburg High School in 2008. Mr. Rush earned his Master's Degree in Education Administration from James Madison University in 2005. While at Stonewall, Mr. Rush was the Assistant Athletic Director and coached basketball and soccer. At Harrisonburg High School, he is the co-chair of the math department and organizes the after school tutoring program. He also enjoys going home to his wife and 3 children.
