HCPS

Hot chocolate with Mr. Glick and Mr. Supko will be from 8:35 - 9:00 on February 14th for 7th and 8th graders who participated in the winter reading contest by reading 4 books. Congratulations to all our readers!

The Nifty Thrifty January spelling/ suffix test scores were not as good as ones given in past months. Period 5 Advanced English took first place with 86%. Many have been out with sickness, including this teacher. Hopefully, the February test, set for Wednesday, February 29 - Leap Day, will see the scores go back up. Students who desire a re-test should talk to Mrs. Ballew to schedule a time. Re-tests can be done after school or at 7:15 A.M.

The remainder of this 9 weeks will include make-ups on comma work and continued work on writing, continued study of genres, and finally, poetry in both English 7 and Advanced English 7. A test on genres, terms and selections read in class, will be given the week of Feb. 20 - 23. The exact date will be announced later.
