Happy Fall! About Our Program
The reading program at W.H. Keister Elementary School gives extra support to students in kindergarten through fourth grade by addressing specific literacy needs. Small groups of students meet with a reading teacher twenty-five to sixty minutes daily for explicit instruction to improve their literacy skills.

As with all material found on the Internet, teachers and parents should be very careful in allowing students to explore these sites unless direct supervision is provided. Keister Elementary is not responsible for the content of various links beyond the initial levels of each site.
Reading is a bright spot! READ EVERYDAY!
Third grade students make "Real Reading Salad." This activity teaches them about the importance of always thinking while they are reading. "Real Reading Salad" highlights the importance of understanding what they are reading. Comprehension is key!
