This outline is obviously subject to the myriad forces of change, both within and outside my control.  Still, it is what we are shooting for and we'll try to stick to it as much as possible.  I have allowed for some flexibility to account for extension of units or review (or SNOW DAYS!)

Basically, I have planned for 74 days from start to test, but if all goes well, we will actually have 81.  So - we have some flexibility built in.  Which is good.  Cause we are going to have to be flexible.

Unit 1: Intro and Pre-contact America (Period 1: 1491-1607)

Unit 1: The Colonial Era (Period 2: 1607-1754)   

Unit 2: Revolution and Establishing the Nation (Period 3:1754-1800)

Unit 3: Jefferson and Expansion (Period 4: 1800-1848)

Unit 4: Sectionalism, Civil War, and Reconstruction (Period 5: 1844-1877)

Unit 5: End of the Civil War through the Gilded Age (Period 6: 1865-1898)

Midterm Exam (DATE TBA)

Unit 6: Spanish American War and WWI (Period 7: 1898-1917)

Unit 7: Roaring 20's, Great Depression, WWII (Period 7: 1918-1945)

Unit 8: Post War and Cold War (Period 8: 1945-1980)

Unit 9: Collapse of the Cold War to the Present
