Algebra II Honors - Check out the files tab for sumer work.
Welcome to my site! I hope that you find the information usefull. Below is my philosphy on the teachers and the students roll in the classroom:
The teacher is the facilitator of learning; meaning, that it is the responsibility of the teacher to provide students with ample experience to learn the content. The students are the ones that experience and it is the students that will further their knowledge. Learning is not a one way street where the teacher “pours” information into students’ minds, rather the teacher “pours” the information onto the desk and asks the students what they see.
Students grow up in a society where they are flooded with many different avenues of information; i.e. television, Internet, billboards, ads (which are placed wherever a company can put them). For this reason, students can process huge amounts of information and decide rather quickly whether or not what is being exposed to them is worth their time. For this reason, students need to see real world applications of the material they are learning. If they do not, then they will tune out and latch onto something that keeps their attention. This is not necessarily a bad thing, just an aspect of the student that a teacher needs to understand.
As with all material found on the Internet, teachers and parents should be very careful in allowing students to explore these sites unless direct supervision is provided. Harrisonburg High School is not responsible for the content of various links beyond the initial levels of each site.
