About Me

I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology in 2001 and a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from James Madison University in 2006.  I have earned the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, as well as Virginia state licensure to practice speech-language pathology.  My first job as a speech-language pathologist was in the Shenandoah Valley working with adults in nursing homes and hospitals.   I joined Harrisonburg City Public Schools in 2010 as itinerant speech-language pathologist and have worked at several city schools including Spotswood, Waterman, and Smithland Elementary Schools.  In addition to providing speech-language services at Harrisonburg City Public Schools, I supervise JMU speech-language graduate students.

My husband, step-son, daughter, son, and I live in Harrisonburg.
