The adventure of life is to learn.....

Welcome, my name is Alexandra Johnson and I am a Special Education teacher in grades K-5 here at Keister.

This is my 3rd year at KES.  KES holds a special place in my heart as I started my educational career here as a little girl a very long time ago.  I grew up in The Friendly City and I am a proud graduate of Harrisonburg High School. Go Blue Streaks!

James Madison University is my alma-mater, I received both my Undergraduage and Graduate degrees in Special Education from JMU.  Most recently, I attained a Post-Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration from George Washington University.   I have worked in education since 2007, at the high school, middle school, and elementary levels.

It is privledge to work in HCPS.  There are great things happening here and I deeply appreciate the teachers, staff,  children,  and families that continually strive to make our community  the best that it can be.

Outside of teaching and learning, my favorite activities include reading, badminton, pinochle, traveling and at the top of my list is......spending time with my son!!
