Economics & Personal Finance
All students complete Economics and Personal Finance (EPF) as part of their state graduation requirements, usually during their 11th grade year. The course includes a variety of essential content to help students understand how our economic system works, how they can make intelligent financial decisions for themselves, and what career options they have.
EPF is taught by teachers from many disciplines including Business, FCS, Marketing, Math, and Social Studies.
There is not a CTSO specific to this program, but students are encouraged to join DECA or FBLA.
For more information about the course, check out the Virginia Department of Education website.
